Storage Unit Sizes - What size do I need?

5 x 5 Compares to: Large Closet

5 x 10 Compares to: Walk-in Closet

10 x 10 Compares to: Bedroom

10 x 15 Compares to: Master Bedroom

10 x 20 Compares to: One Car Garage

15 x 15 Compares to: Multi Car Garage

Rule of Thumb - How to Calculate the Space You'll Need

Each piece of furniture (don't count boxes, rugs, lamps) will average 40 cubic feet.
Multiply the length of the unit, times width, times height to find cubic size.

For example:
A 5 x 10 unit that is 10 feet high will hold 5 x 10 x 10 or 500 cubic feet or 12+ items. (Perhaps, a bed, dresser, 2 night tables, chair, kitchen table, 4 chairs, washer & dryer, + a few boxes, a lamp and a rug)
